about

Digital Album Format: 1644 Wav.

Contradictions, an album featuring Kjetil in musical improvisation on a magnificent Steinway Grand Piano was recorded live at Ibsenhuset/ Audiopol Studio with Audun Kleive as sound tecnician. It was mixed and mastered by Reidar Skaar.

The music of this release combines both melodic, lyrical, pensive passages as well as a refined, abstract, dark and free-flowing atmosphere.
As a musician, Kjetil gathers inspiration from a muster of sources such as jazz, classical music, folk music, ambient, contemporary music and pop/rock. As a pianist, such masterful musicians as Bugge Wesseltoft, Jon Balke, Marcin Wasilewski and Django Bates among others have influenced him.
